KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany Learn their stories.
That was the message from Col. U. L. Armstrong, the commander of the 773rd Civil Support Team, during the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz African-American History Month celebration Feb. 9 at the Kaiserslautern Army Community Center on Daenner Kaserne.

The Rappahannock transferred fuel to the French frigate FS Vendmiaire (F734), a light patrol frigate. USNS Rappahannock is a Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler operated by Military Sealift Command (MSC).
The crew members had the opportunity to experience the country's culture while strengthening ties with the local population. Port visits such as these serve as an important element in the U.S. Navy's theater security cooperation efforts by enhancing solid relationships with partner nations throughout the region.
